Karen Bales is a Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Davis, and a Core Scientist at the California National Primate Research Center. She studies the neurobiology of pair bonding and biparental care in prairie voles and titi monkeys. In addition, she studies how we manipulate oxytocin in human clinical use, such as the administration of intranasal oxytocin to children with autism.
